Access For Sight Impaired ConsumersAccess for Sight-Impaired Consumers is a non-profit organization comprised of community volunteers who are committed to promoting equal access and independence for persons who are blind, sight impaired or deaf-blind residing in the Metro Vancouver area.
ASIC's mandate is to consolidate and support the advocacy projects of community partners in the field of blindness, sight impairment and deaf-blindness. ASIC also initiates action on matters not already addressed by other community partners and encourages their support in its projects. These advocacy projects involve procedures, policies, actions, issues and situations that affect the ability of individuals who are blind, sight impaired, or deaf-blind to fully and equitably participate in their community.
