Access For Sight Impaired ConsumersASIC is a consumer-driven advocacy organization whose activities are undertaken by its volunteer Board members. The Board is comprised of 7 to 15 members including a representative from each of the following community organizations whose work supports individuals who are blind, sight impaired, or deaf-blind:
The remaining members of the Board are Members-at-Large who are elected annually at ASIC's Annual General Meeting. The Board executive is elected annually by the board following the Annual General Meeting, and consists of the following 5 officers: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Nominations Chair.
Board meetings for 2008 will be held on the third Monday of the following months: January, March, April, June, September, November. ASIC's Annual General Meeting is usually held in late March or early April. If you are interested in attending an upcoming meeting, please e-mail ASIC.
