B-Bay Guidelines for Submissions

We invite individuals who wish to post either a Wanted To Buy or a For Sale advertisement on our web site to observe these guidelines for submissions.

1. All items advertised under the "For Sale" link must be pre-owned items only.
   NOTE: Sources for new products are listed under our "Resources" link (which will be added to our home page very soon) or on other vendors' web sites.

 

2. The item must benefit a person who is blind, sight-impaired or deaf-blind.

 

3. Postings to this site must:
   • include on the first line of your advertisement either "Wanted To Buy:" or "For Sale:" followed by a brief title of the item (for example, "Wanted To Buy: Portable 4-track Cassette Player" or "For Sale: Tandem Bicycle")
   • be submitted as text (.txt) files and attached to an e-mail; hyperlinks may be included as long as they are clearly labeled
   • have been edited and proofread
   • include a contact name and either a telephone number (including area code) and/or an e-mail address should any interested party wish to obtain further information
   • include a detailed description of your item which should not exceed 100 words in length
   • include an asking price if the item is for sale
   • not include any additional attachments such as graphics, images or audio files

    

4. Once you locate or sell your item, it is your responsibility to e-mail us to have your advertisement removed from B-Bay. Please be sure to place "Request to Remove B-Bay Advertisement" in the subject line, and remember to include key information contained in your advertisement so that we can distinguish it from others.

New advertisements will be added to B-Bay by our volunteers during the last full week of each calendar month. B-Bay advertisements will be posted for a maximum of 60 days. ASIC reserves the right to review, edit and/or reject any advertisement that exceeds space limitations or is found to be inappropriate or objectionable due to content, language or subject matter.

Those who are looking to locate an item or have items to sell are invited to e-mail us to have your advertisement posted. Please remember to type "Request for B-Bay Posting” in the subject line of your e-mail submission. Any other inquiries? Feel free to e-mail us with additional questions.
