Access For Sight Impaired ConsumersCNIB Bus Passes
Effective January 1, 2005, the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) National Identity Card will be the valid pass for the approved CNIB fare for transit. This card will replace the annual BC Bus pass previously used. The card has the name, address and photograph of the customer. In addition it has a start date and an expiry date.
PLEASE NOTE: This pass is not swipeable.
2004 BC Bus passes issued to CNIB customers last year will be valid until the end of service Friday, January 14, 2005. CNIB has informed all existing Bus Pass users to apply for their CNIB card as soon as possible. Customers who do not have a valid CNIB card after January 14, 2005 should be advised to contact their local CNIB office to obtain the proper card.
